What is Leo Blog

Leo Blog is a flatform for Blog for Prestashop that includes everything for your site blog page. The Blog dashboard allows you to configure how the displaying of blog page, listing item view, item detail view. You can also create theme, template for the blog page. The blog content management includes: Cateogry management, blog item management and comment management. It alo has 2 modules: Leo Blog management and Leo Latest blog - display latest blog items in slide in any hook.

Download and Install

Download

Currently, the modules are only included in the pretashop theme that support the module by default. So you have to download the theme package then the modules will be there for you to use.

Install

You can install the module as any other pretashop module. If you are new to prestashop, you can check How To Install Prestashop Module Video Tutorial

Blog Dashboard

The blog dashboard is to configure the template/theme for blog page, listing blog item and blog item detail page.

1. General configuration

The setting panel allows you to:

  • Theme - Template: Assign a theme/template for blog page
  • Root Link Title: Add root link title for blog page
  • Friendly URL:
  • Root: Add root friendly link for the page
  • Meta Title: Add meta title
  • Meta description: Add meta description
  • Meta keywords: Add meta keyword
  • Enable Rss: Enable RSS or not, if enable,
  • Rss Limit Items: you can configure number of RSS to display
  • Rss Title: Add RSS title

2. Listing Blog configuration

The panel is to configure the blog item list page, you can configure to:

  • Show Category Info: Show/hide category infor
  • Show Sub Categories: Show/Hide sub category
  • Leading Column:Configure number column of leading items
  • Leading Limit Items: Configure number limit of leading items
  • Leading Image Width:Configure leading image width
  • Leading Image Height: Configure leading image height
  • Secondary Limit Items:
  • Secondary Image Width:
  • Secondary Image Height:
  • Show Title: Show/hide title
  • Show Description: Show/hide description

3. Item Blog Setting

The panel is to configure the blog item detail page, you can configure to:

  • Item Image Width: Display the width of images
  • Item Image Height: Display the height of images
  • Show Description: Show/hide Description
  • Show Image: Show/hide Imgaes
  • Show Author: Show/hide Author
  • Show Category: Show/hide Category
  • Show Created Date: Show/hide Created Date
  • Show Hits: Show/hide Hits
  • Show Counter: Show/hide Counter
  • Social Sharing CODE: Show/hide Sharing Code
  • Show List Comment: Show/hide List Comment
  • Show Form Comment: Show/hide Form Comment
  • Comment Engine:
  • Limit Local Comment: Litmit locally of Comment
  • Diquis Account: Sign Up Diquis
  • Facebook Application ID: Register A Comment Box, Then Get Application ID in Script Or Register Facebook Application ID to moderate comments

Categories Management

To manage module leoblog category

1. Creat Categories

Step 1: Click on "New Category" button to create blog category

Step 2: Take a look on the right side where there is a "Category form"

The panel is to configure the blog item list page, you can configure to:

  • Theme - Template
  • Meta title: Title of blog category
  • Friendly URL: Link URL
  • Parent ID:
  • Is Active: On or off working function
  • Show Title: On or off title display
  • Addion Css Class: Add Css Class to beautify interface
  • Menu Icon Class: The module integrated with FontAwesome. Check list of icons and class name in here http://fontawesome.io/ or your icon class
  • Image
  • Content

Click "Save" button to save data.

Step 3: You need to notice "Seo Meta" as it helps you Seo your needed keyword.

  • Meta description
  • Meta keywords

After click "Save" Category will appear in Category management part

And you can also drag-and-drop "Category" or "Sub category"

Blog Management

To help you manage articles in module leoblog

Step 1: Approach module Leo Blog Management > Blog Management

Click button "+" to create new article

After that load to "BLOG FORM" page. Here you need to fill information of blog article

To create blog article

  • Category: Sellect product category for article
  • Meta title: Article title
  • Friendly URL: Friendly link for article
  • Tags
  • Image: Insert images for article
  • Thumb image: Insert thumb image
  • Video Code: Insert video Code
  • Blog description: Insert short description for blog article
  • Blog Content: Insert content of blog article
  • Author Name: Name of author will display on front-end
  • Date Create: Date of creating article
  • Indexation (by search engines):
  • Displayed: Turn on or off article

Seo part What you need to pay attention is key words to descript article

Next, click "Save" to save data

Display outside FO

To "Edit" blog article, you just need to Click button "Edit" on the right conner of the screen

To delete article you just need to Click on Seclect button and sellect "Delete" on the right side of the screen

Comment Management

To help you manage article's comment from customer

Step 1: Approach module Leo Blog Management > Comment Management

Step 2 : Click button "+" to add comment

You will be led to "Blog form"

Blog Title: Title of blog article

User: User Information

Email: User Email Information

Blog Content: Comment content for blog article

Displayed: Turn on or off function

Step 3: Then sellect "Save" to save data

Leo Blog Management

Approach module Leo Blog Management > Leo Blog Configuration

What you need to pay attend is as bellow:

Enable Categories Tree Block: Active moudle

Image type: For images png type. Keep png type or optimize to jpg type

Next click "Save" to save data
